Our fifth day here also started peacefully, with the holy chanting of the “Medha Sooktam” by the children, under the guidance of Swamiji, after the morning milk. The yoga session led by Shruti didi followed the chanting and children performed their asanas, with an improved flexibility. The delicious breakfast was followed by the chanting of the “NamaRamayana” and “Sankatmochan Hanumanashtak”, led by Srijit bhaiya, Priya didi, Rajeev bhaiya and Monisha didi. The children are chanting with an increased fervour, as they have learnt the stotras, almost perfectly. Gopalji took up the next session, with a talk, enlightening the children about the symbolism in the temples. He talked to the children, about how scientifically the temples, especially the ancient ones, were planned. For example, he told that the ‘gopura’, at the entrance of the temple has the images of many different Gods on it. This is to show us, that we human beings interact with so many people in our day-to-day lives. ‘Go
On March 21, I returned home after finishing my 10th class board exams. I was ecstatic and anticipated having a wonderful holiday season. My mom had taken me to visit KSR College of Technology along with my brother, Yoogesh. I was excited about it and felt extremely delighted about it. I was taken to the Idea Lab and given a tour by the principal, Gopalakrishnan Sir, and Bharani Mam. It offered excellent amenities, such as a computer lab, a laser printing lab, a UV resin printing lab, a metal cutting lab, a wood printer, and a 3D printing facility. Visiting Idea Lab with Principal Dr.Gopalakrishnan When I first entered the lab, I was amazed. In particular, 3D printing piqued my interest. Gopalakrishnan Sir allowed me to visit the lab every day after noticing my curiosity. This had me incredibly pumped up. I started going to college every day. I would travel on the college bus. I learned a lot in only a few short weeks thanks to the lab supervisors, Srinithi mam and Kathiresan Sir. In
Children assembled in the morning, punctually, after their morning milk, for the chanting of the “Medha Sooktam”. The children have mastered the correct technique of chanting this vedic hymn, with the correct pronunciation with the intonation. The chanting was followed by the yoga session, led by Shruti didi. She has asked the children to continue the Sivananda yoga sequences they have been taught, for the continuation of good health. A yummy breakfast was followed by the chanting of the “NamaRamayan” and “Sankat Mochan Hanumana Ashtakam”, again led by Srijit bhaiya, Priya didi, Rajeev bhaiya and Monisha didi. The children have almost perfected their chanting now. Vijayanandji, from Bangalore gave a short and inspiring talk on the topic- Science and technology in ancient India.
