Grandparents Day @ Presidency School Bangalore South

Image
Grandparents Day is celebrated on 13th October every year. It is a day when we thank our Grandparents. This year my grandparents agreed to school and it was the first we went to an event like this. We reach school at 8:00am, when we got down from the car, my grandparents saw our school for the first time. When we entered school, there were plenty of teachers guiding the grandparents. My grandmother choose to chant Vishnu Sahasranama along with my mother. It was a very long Sloka. Half-a-way through, my grandfather called me and said, "we can go and try other games". I agreed to his suggestion. First we went to a game called "Throw the Ball". It was a game in which we had to throw a ball into cones which were arranged in the format 4, 3, 2, 1. The ball had to roll straight from 4 to 1 to win this game. We were given 10 balls to try and out of which we have scored 6 balls. We had won the game. There were no prizes as they were games for enjoyment. The next game

Family Tour to Chennai

Image
My father reached Bangalore from Dubai on 31st July. He had to go to Chennai for some work and we on a tour. I felt very excited as I was going to meet my cousin and it was the first time I was going by train. We left to the railway station at 10:30pm and reached Chennai at 4:30am. We reached Rani Meyyammai Towers at 6:00am. My cousin was still sleeping so I played with his toys and talked to my uncle. My cousin Dhruv woke up at 7:00am. We played for an hour with him and then we dropped him at school. We saw many movies on the projector. The movie I liked the best is Tik:Tik:Tik . It is a science fiction movie and a thriller movie. Then his sister Riya woke up, we played with her. We went to pick up Dhruv at 1:00pm, we played for a wile in the park and we went home. We had lunch and started watching Jurassic World, it was fantastic. Dhruv went to his friend Tanav's house, while we went to the beach, we played games and ate spring potato. It was delicious. When we returned home,

A day after monsoon!

Image
Monsoon occurs from June to August. It rains a lot during this time. There will be a lot of fog after the day. There would also dew drops on the leaves of plants. Rainwater if purified can be used for drinking. Rainwater, if stored can be used for growing crops at the time when there is a drought. When it rains there will be a lot of mosquitoes. Rain also helps the crops to grow. Too much rainfall destroys crops. During rainfall we can plan in the rain. Too much playing in the rain causes fever. In India we always wish for rainfall. Rain, Rain Go Away come again on another day little Tommy wants to play Rain, Rain go away. This refers to the English people who don't want rain. But we Indians want rain for various purposes, so we should sing Rain, Rain, come again Farmers want to cultivate Rain, Rain, come again Let the crops grow day by day.

Sharing is caring!

In the Prehistory there lived a hunter named Lin. One day Lin was coming after a long hunt with lots of animals. There were some people who had a bad day as they were no animals to hunt .Therefore Lin gave half of his share to the people and they thanked him. This shows us that SHARING IS CARING.

The foolish Bird

Once upon a time there lived two birds, the male bird said "Let us build our nests on the tree next to the Sea." The female bird said "No! No! during the night, because of the Moon big tides happen in the sea." The male bird again said "The Sea won't dare to touch my children." So the wife also agreed and they built a nest on the tree next to the Sea. Then at the night, when the two birds reached the nest they saw that the eggs have been swept away. Then the male bird realised its mistake. Moral of the Story: Think twice before you act or say something!

The Proud Lamp

During the olden days, at night times there was no electricity. People used lamps as a source of light. One day the lamp said to itself, "I am brighter than the Sun & the Moon, that's why I am being used by the people". Then a strong wind blew the lamp after that an old woman lit the lamp and said "Dear lamp, you have your own limitations so please do not compare yourself with the Sun and the Moon". Moral of the story: Boasting always brings you destruction.

The pop-up

There was a girl named Atri. She wanted money. But her parents never allowed her to take money. One day in her laptop there came a message. "You have won a million dollars." So she clicked OK. Some days later she saw that there was a virus in her computer. She called the police, they knew that someone was hacking her account so they tracked the hacker and caught him. And then Atri got a reward of Rs 10,00,00/-. She was very happy. Moral of the story: If the message is sent by a person whom you do not know, please ask your parents about the message, confirm with them, then if your parents do not know the person, then please just delete the message.
