Saving the Tiger

We have so many National Symbols. These show our pride in conservational steps. But the word conservations steps cannot be just put as a showcase. We cannot leave animals in their own endangered state like our previous natural gem, the tiger. The tiger is one of the endangered animal in the world. They are extinct in south east Asia. Some habits that caused the destruction of tigers are felling of trees in large numbers, poaching of tigers and poaching of their prey. Superstition is also one of the factors that caused the extinction of tigers in the countries like China. Tiger's skin is used for decorative purpose. Chinese people use tiger's bones, skin, claws & flesh for medicinal purposes though there is no efficacy of  it in science. Chinese even mix crushed bone with powder and soak babies inside it because they think that it brings them good luck.

Does it mean that the scenario of conserving the tiger is hopeless! The answer is NO.

Several steps have been taken to conserve tigers. For example the Kaziranga biosphere reserve in Assam, the Corbbit in Uttar Pradesh and Nagarhole in Karnataka have ensured proper conservation steps like foot patterns to check for snares and traps. This is better than to ride jeeps and check whether the tigers are safe. Even we fell trees, we must replant them to make a habitat for tigers.

All national parks and we people follow these method to ensure a proper future for tigers

T - Today we can save it
I  - I must contribute to this
G - Giving our best
E - Ensuring protection
R - Maintaining rapports with villagers
